This writing strategies lesson focuses on revising the text to improve sequence. The lesson includes research-based strategies and strategic questions that prepare students for assessments. In this lesson, students use order and clue words (such as first, next, then, after, later, last, etc.) to organize details and write a paragraph. This lesson uses the grouping of ideas to write short paragraphs. In addition to the lesson, there are four pages of Independent Practice and review with questions modeled after current adaptive testing items.
