RF.K.2.B Count, pronounce, blend, and segment syllables in spoken words.

TEKS ELA: K(2)(A)(x)

K(2)(A)(x) Demonstrate phonological awareness by segmenting spoken one-syllable words into individual phonemes.

This phonics lesson gives students the opportunity to count syllables. The lesson includes research-based strategies and strategic questions that prepare students for assessments. For this lesson, students will need to be familiar with short and long vowel sounds.
