This vocabulary lesson covers how to sort words into categories. The lesson includes research-based strategies and strategic questions that prepare students for assessments. Teachers should model what markers to use during Skill Development/Guided Practice for the categories (i.e., writing the number or the word for each object). Flashcards for Concept Development CFU and Skill Development are available for this lesson. Extra resources and activities are provided as well.
