HSG.SRT.8 Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems.*

This math lesson teaches students how to apply the Pythagorean Theorem to find the unknown length of the side of a triangle. The lesson includes research-based strategies and strategic questions that prepare students for standardized assessments. In this lesson, students will identify the hypotenuse and two legs of a right triangle, then solve the Pythagorean Theorem for the missing value. In addition to the lesson, there are two pages of Independent Practice and six pages of Periodic Review with questions modeled after standardized assessments.
