This biology lesson focuses on describing the process of meiosis. The lesson includes research-based strategies and strategic questions that prepare students for assessments. In this lesson, students list the first phases of meiosis, draw a picture of the cell in each of the first phases, and give an explanation of what happens in each phase. Then, they repeat the steps for phase two of meiosis. In addition to the lesson, there are four more pages for Independent Practice and review modeled after current adaptive testing items.
